The Music Ministry provides a wide variety of vocal and instrumental music to enhance the liturgy of the parish.  It sets as its goal the provision of attractive, varied, and meaningful music to bring added richness to the liturgy and to continue the Church's 2000 year tradition of music as an essential part of worship.

  • Two choirs enrich the Sunday liturgies, both sing traditional choral selections ranging from classical to contemporary Christian favorites: the Youth Choir at 10 am - the Parish Choir at 11 am.
  • A Hand Bell choir alternates with a Recorder Consort at 4 pm on Saturdays.
  • CD's, carefully selected to provide a wide range of music from chant to contemporary, enhance several other liturgies.
  • Solo singers providing high quality vocal selections on Sundays at 12 Noon and 7:30 pm.

Through these  musical offerings, the Music Ministry  strives to complement St. Michael's Church in its quest for excellence.  It further hopes that through this variety, it will fulfill the desires of our Church's community, providing them with the ambience most conducive to their particular prayer life.

Serving at the altar is a noble and holy privilege.  The server prepares the Altar for Mass, attends to the sacred vessels, and assists the priest in the most sacred actions of the Mass.

Adult servers assist at certain weekend Masses, most weekday Masses and funerals.

To honor the dead of the parish and their loved ones, the parish seeks to have several servers greet those who come to Church, showing them the respect and warmth of the parishioners, whom these servers represent.

Student servers assist at certain weekend Masses and wedding Masses. They assume the responsibilities of adult servers.

Masses at St. Michael's spread from the very simple to the highly ceremonial.  In all cases, the servers perform a sacred role.

Training is provided.

This ministry strives to ensure that all liturgical celebrations at St. Michael's are well planned and executed with precision.

New parishioner meetings take place every Sunday.  These informative meetings for perspective parishioners are required before registering at St. Michael's Church.

This important ministry trains ushers who assist at weekend and Holy Day Masses. They do this by seating people, taking up collections, and handing out bulletins, as well as performing whatever else may be needed at the individual liturgy.
