Faith Formation

lCOORDINATOR OF RELIGIOUS ED
Our Religious Education Coordinator is in charge of the overseeing of the parish religious education program. The coordinator is also there to give support and encouragement to our volunteer teaching staff throughout the year. The coordinator plans and executes the religious education program. They are also available to assist the children and their families, with the meaning and the importance of living the Catholic Faith. The coordinator also supports and helps with the Youth Group, Family Liturgy Team, Vacation Bible, "Why Catholic", and Bible Study in their endeavors.

YOUTH MINISTRIES
Our Youth Group Leaders work with our young adults in two groups, High School, ages 14-18, and Junior High School Group, ages 10-13. The two Groups meet once a month to discuss timely topics and to perform service projects in our local and worldwide Community. This Ministry assists in enhancing the spiritual growth and well being of our youth, and to create a better understanding of their ever changing environment.

CHARLIE'S ANGELS
Through creative, biblical and fun-based teaching, singing, visuals, motions, games, activities and more, your children will be actively engaged each Sunday, while developing their own relationship with God and the Church.

This program is for children aged two to six, and takes place in the lower church during the 11:00 am Mass.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Volunteers work with the VBS coordinator and children between the ages 4-9 during the summer break, in a relaxed fun filled week of songs, games, movies, crafts, and snacks with a biblical theme.  Each summer, our children look forward to attending our Vacation Bible School and the many experiences in which they learn about God.  They come together each year to meet new friends and reaquaint with old friends.  The children love this wonderful week.

INFANT BAPTISM CLASS
To prepare parents for their child's reception of the Sacrament of Baptism

FAMILY LITURGY TEAM
Volunteers plan special Mass Liturgies held once a month during the CCD year for a different grade level. These Masses include music, decorations, and poster presentations centered on a theme chosen by the liturgy team to entertain the children and their families.  Our children and their families look forward to these monthly Family Masses as they gain a better understanding of our Catholic Faith.

PRAYER CHAIN
A group of  75 Parishioners who pray for the urgent needs of parishioners and their families.  This Prayer Chain is available to  Parishioners, their family and friends, who are facing imminent emergencies due to illness and need the support and prays of our faithful community  - either by the recitation of the Rosary, a Decade, or other forms of prayers - all for the sole intention of that person or persons who are seeking spiritual help and support in their "hour of need".

U.S. Bishops' Statement on Moral Concerns with
Using the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 Vaccine

The U.S. Conference of Catholice Bishops (USCCB) issued a Statement on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 regarding moral concerns with using the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. The Statement may be accessed by clicking below. The Statement says in part, "if one has the ability to choose a vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccines should be chosen over Johnson & Johnson’s." The moral concern arises because the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was developed and tested and is produced with abortion-derived cell lines. The USCCB Statement also quotes the judgment of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the Vatican that "when ethically irreproachable Covid-19 vaccines are not available... it is morally acceptable to receive Covid19 vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses in their research and production process."
